Mushroom 65 is also called as dry mushroom chili. This is most popular starter or appetizer in India. It is a spicy deep fried snacks. This is also a famous street food which is very easy to make . This is perfect starter for party .
As my family loves mushroom a lot and tried mushrooms in various ways. One which all liked most is this recipe and thought of sharing this mushroom 65 in blog today. This can also be serves as side dish for pulao or fried rice. Lets look how to make this starter.
Preparation Time:15 mints| Cooking Time : 45 mints
Mushroom - 250 grams
Oil - deep frying
Water - as required
Maida / All purpose flour - 2 tbspn
Corn Flour - 2 tbspn
Rice Flour - 1 tbspn
Turmeric - 1tspn
Red chili powder - 1 tbspn
Ginger Garlic Paste - 1 tbspn
Garam masala - 1/2 tbspn
Salt - as required
Curry leaves - few
Red Food color - pinch
1. Wash the mushrooms well and clean with paper towel. Then chop the mushrooms as required. In a mixing bowl add Maida,Corn Flour,Rice Flour,Turmeric,Red chili powder,Ginger Garlic Paste,Garam masala,Salt,Food color. Mix well . Then add the required water to form the batter . Then add the mushroom to the batter . Mix well together and allow it to get coat well. Set aside for ten mints .
2. Heat the oil in a kadai for deep frying. Once the oil is hot . Keep the flame in low and add the mushrooms to the oil for deep frying. Fry it well on turning well both sides. Once the bubbles stops remove the mushroom from oil. Repeat the process for entire mushrooms. Fry the curry leaves and add on top of it.
Now the mushroom 65 is ready to serve.
My Notes :
1. Adding food color is optional.
2. Add very less water while making batter. Because mushrrom leaves more water.
