SEVEN CUP BURFI

Seven Cup Burfi or Seven cup cake is the very easy and simple burfi or sweet variety with excellent taste. It gives similar taste of mysorepak with coconut. As the name says it is made of 7 cup of items together. It is most suitable sweet for Diwali and many occasions.

Lets look at the recipe.

Preparation Time : 10 mints | Cooking Time : 40 mints|Severs: 30 - 35 pieces

 

Ingredients :

 

Besan Flour - 1 cup

Grated Coconut - 1 cup

Ghee - 1 cup

Milk - 1 cup

Sugar - 3 cup

 

Method :

 

Grease the plate or any cake tray with ghee. Measure all ingredients and keep ready.Dry Roast the besan flour in a heavy bottom pan. Once the raw smell goes add the coconut and form a crumble texture.Then add the milk and ghee and mix well without lumps.

 

Add the Sugar to it and mix well. Once u start cooking with sugar it releases more water . Then it starts to boil . Once it starts to leave the sides and form a frothy layer . Then you can turn off the flame.

 

Now pour it in the greased plate and allow it to cool for five mints. Then cut into desired shape and allow to cool completely. Then take the pieces out and keep in a plate for some time. Then store in the air tight containers .

 

Now the seven cup cake is ready.

Notes:

 

1. If you like the bites of nuts in your burfi. Reduce half a cup of sugar and add chopped nuts instead of it .
