VEGETABLE FRIED RICE
Fried Rice is the most famous rice variety in Indochinese cuisine. There are many varieties of fried rice . Vegetable Fried rice is the most easiest type of fried rice that can be made very quickly . Here is the recipe for making this easy Chinese style fried rice .
Preparation Time : 20 mints | Cooking Time : 20 mints | Serves : 3
Basmati rice - 1 cup
Garlic - 2 cloves ( finely chopped ) Onion - 1/8 cup Spring onions (white part) - 3 finely chopped Spring onions (green part) - 3 tbsp finely chopped Carrot - 1 Nos ( finely chopped )
Beans - 2 Nos ( finely chopped )
Cabbage - 1/4 cup ( finely chopped )
Capsicum - 1/8 cup ( finely chopped ) Soya sauce - 1 tsp Red Chili Sauce - 1 tsp Black Pepper powder - 1 tbsp Butter - 2 tbsp Salt - to taste
Water - 2 cups
1. Chop the vegetables as finely as possible . Soak the basmati rice for minimum half an hour and pressure cook it for 3 whistles. Then spread the rice in plate to cool it down completely.
2. In a pan melt the butter add the garlic , spring onions (white part) , onions . Saute well until the onion turns pink.
3. Then add the chopped carrot , beans . Saute well for two mints . Then add the capsicum , cabbage . Toss well. Then add the finely chopped spring onions green part. Cook for 3 mints in a high flame.
4. Then add the salt , red chili sauce and soya sauce. Mix well with vegetables. Then add the rice and mix all together .
5. After mixing add the pepper and toss it together well. Garnish with spring onions green part. Now the Fried rice is ready to serve .
Serve the fried rice with Manchurian or chili dry.
1. Actually in fried rice they add green chili sauce. But i added red chili sauce today . You can add the sauce of your choice.
2. Instead of butter you can use olive oil.
3. Chop the vegetables finely so that it cook easily.
4. I used black pepper today Instead you can also add white pepper.
