MAA LADOO

Maa Ladoo (Maa Laddu) also called as Pottukadalai/Porikadalai urundai. This is the most simplest and the easiest sweet variety that is most popular in south India. This ladoo is made of Roasted Gram which is very healthy . This is the sweet variety made very fast for festivals like Diwali .

Preparation Time : 10 mints | Cooking Time : 15 mints | Makes : 12 ladoos

Ingredients :

Roasted Gram/Pottukadalai - 1 cup Sugar - 1/2 cup Melted Ghee - 3 tbspn Cardamom powder - 1/4 tspn Cashews broken - 1 tbspn

Raisins - 1 tbspn

Procedure :

1. Dry roast the Roasted Gram / Potukadalai till nice aroma rises in a medium flame. Then add it to the blender and grind it to a fine powder. Transfer to a mixing bowl. Then grind the sugar and cardamom to a fine powder and add it to the mixing bowl.

2. Mix the potukadalai and sugar powder together evenly. Heat the ghee and roast the cashew and raisins until golden then add it to the mixing bowl.

3. Mix well together with ghee and make it into equal balls. Repeat the process for all flour and make ladoos.

Now the maa ladoo is ready and store it in airtight boxes.
