Mutter Paneer / Matar Paneer masala is the north indian type of gravy that is made by the combination of paneer and peas in the onion tomato gravy . This can be had along with plain rice , pulao or any indian bread . This is a creamy type of gravy along with indian spices .

Green Peas - 1/2 cup
Paneer - 1/2 cup
Onion - 3/4 cup chopped
Tomato - 3/4 cup chopped
Garlic - 2 cloves chopped
Ginger - 1 inch chopped
Green chili - 1
Red Chili Powder - 1 tbspn
Coriander Powder - 1/2 tbspn
Garam Masala - 1/4 tbspn
Turmeric - 1/4 tbspn
Salt - to taste
Fresh Cream - 2 tbspn
Oil - 3 tbspn + 2 tbspn
Heat 3 tbspn of oil and fry the ginger , garlic then onions until golden. Then add the tomatoes and cook until marshy.
Then add the red chili powder,coriander powder,garam masala,turmeric and mix well. Allow it to cool down completely. Chop the paneer to the desired shape.
Add the cooled mixture to the blender and grind it to a fine paste. I used dried peas today, So soaked 8 hours and pressure cook for 3 whistle.
In the same pan heat remaining oil add cumin seeds . Allow it to pop . Then add the grinded paste and salt. Mix well.
Then cook till the raw smell goes. Add the peas and paneer . Mix gently. Cook for 2 mints.
Add fresh cream to it. Mix and turn off the stove once it starts boil .
Serve Mutter Paneer with roti or paratha.
I used dried green peas . Added by soaking overnight and pressure cooking the peas for 3 whistle . You can add fresh green peas or frozen green peas also.
You can also add the paneer by shallow frying in oil.
