Pav bhaji is a fast food or chat item from Maharashtra, consisting of a thick vegetable curry usually prepared in butter and served with a soft bread roll . In Marathi curry is called as bhaji and the bread roll is called as pav . So its named as pav bhaji. This is the most popular chat item all over India. It is very easy to make . Lets see the recipe of making bhaji.

Carrot - 1 (small)
Potato - 2 (small)
Cauliflower - 10 medium sized florets
Capsicum - 1 cup (finely chopped)
Tomato - 1 cup (finely chopped)
Onion - 3/4 cup (finely chopped)
Ginger Garlic paste - 1 tbspn
Coriander leaves - fistful (finely chopped)
Salt- to taste
Turmeric powder - 1/4 tbspn
Red chili powder - 1 tbspn
Pav bhaji masala - 1 tbspn
Butter - 3 tbspn
Water - as required
Take the carrot , cauliflower and potato with little water . Pressure cook it for 3-4 whistle . Peel the skin of potato and mash altogether.
In a pan heat the butter add ginger garlic paste and cook for a min. Then add onions cook till it turns color slightly. Then add the capsicum and mix well.
Immediately add the tomatoes and turmeric, red chili powder and pav bhaji masala. Then add the mashed vegetables to it.
Add the required salt and water. Cook until the raw smell goes . Once the raw smell goes add the chopped coriander leaves and serve.
Now the bhaji is ready to serve with pav.
How to toast pav :
Take the store brought pav bread or burger bun. Toast both sides with butter and serve with bhaji .
