SOYA CHUNKS KUZHAMBU / MEAL MAKER KUZHAMBU

Soya chunks  also know as Meal maker or Soya nuggets . Soya chunks kuzhambu is made of soya chunks in onion , tomato gravy  and coconut paste. Soya chunks are rich source of protein and fiber . This kuzhambu is best to have with rice or idly , dosa. This is the best dish for vegetarians and its a substitute for meat.

 

Preparation Time:10 mints|Cooking Time:20mints|serves:3

 

Ingredients:

 

Tomato - 1

Coconut - 3tbspn

Oil - 3tbspn

Mustard seeds - 1tspn

Shallots - 15 nos

Green Chili - 1

Onion - 1/4 cup

Ginger Garlic Paste- 1tbspn

Salt - 1tbspn

Red Chili Powder - 1tbspn

Coriander Powder - 1/2 tbspn

Turmeric - 1tspn

Garam masala - 1/4tbspn

Soya Chunks - 20 medium sized

Directions:

 

1. In a Pan heat oil, add shallots , g.chili , tomato ,ginger garlic paste. Mix well and cook until its soft and marshy.

 

2. Once its cooled down add it to blender along with red chili powder,garam masala,coriander powder,salt and turmeric . Grind it to a smooth paste. Pour the rolling boiled water to soya chunks and cover it for ten mints then strain water. Grind coconut to a smooth paste.

 

3. In a pan heat oil add mustard . Once its pop up add chopped onion and saute well. Then add the tomato paste and soya chunks. Cook for 5 mints. Then add the coconut paste and cook for three mints and serve.

 

Serve it with hot Rice , idles or dosa.
