PAVAKKAI FRY

Pavakkai fry is the side dish or poriyal variety that can be served with meals or variety rice. This is a stir fry vegetable dish. This is the very easy side dish for rice varieties made by mixing of spice powders and gram flour in bitter guard and making the shallow fry. It will be more crispy and crunchy. Lets look at the steps of making this recipe.

Preparation Time:20 mints|Cooking Time:30 mints| Serves:2

Ingredients:

oil - 5 tbspn

Pavakkai / Bitter Guard - 4 (medium size)

salt - 1tbspn

Turmeric - 1 tspn

Red Chili Powder - 1tbspn

Hing - little

Sugar - 1/4tbspn

Besan flour -2tbspn

Directions:

1. Wash the Bitter guard . Slit,remove the seeds and cut into even thin slices . Add red chili powder,salt,sugar,hing,turmeric and Besan Flour and mix well to get even coating . Rest for 10 mints.

2. In a non stick Pan add oil and cook the coated bitter guard well . You can cook as per the crunchiness you required.

Pavakkai fry is ready to serve.
